The conical flat die pellet mill is a highly efficient and energy-saving granulation equipment widely used in the production of granules for industries such as organic fertilizer, biomass fuel, and feed. Its core structure adopts a conical flat die design. Through the relative motion between the pressure roller and the die, it utilizes forces such as extrusion, shearing, and friction to compress powdery or fibrous materials into high-density pellets.
The material falls onto the surface of the flat die mold through the feed inlet. The conical pressure roller rolls along the flat die surface and applies pressure, forcing the material into the die holes on the mold surface. Under high pressure within the die holes, the material gradually compresses and forms into pellets. Simultaneously, the relative motion between the conical pressure roller and the flat die generates shear and friction forces, further densifying the pellets. After pellet formation, the mold rotates to position the pellets at the cutting blade, where they are precisely cut into uniform-length particles by high-speed rotation and discharged through the outlet.
