There are Two Suitable Aerobic Composting Methods for Cattle Manure

(1) Strip composting technology: moisture-adjusted proper materials are layered into strip piles at a certain height and width, and the strip piles are laid out in parallel in open or indoor level composting fields, and continuous tilling is carried out by highly efficient professional tracked dump trucks. The cross-section of the pile is semi-circular:2-3m wide, 0.8-1.5m high and unlimited length. Process characteristics: crawler dumpers are highly operable, the use of strip piles is conducive to late moisture loss of compost; low civil construction requirements, no need to support the fermentation tank, outdoor piles, saving construction investment; composting site area needs to be relatively large; outdoor composting in winter in northern areas of China is poor insulation, composting cycle needs to be extended. (2) Fermentation tank composting process: materials with proper humidity adjustment are laid in the fermentation tank of composting workshop by sprinkler or forklift. The appropriate height, width and length of fermentation tanks are 1.0-2.0m, 6-20m and 50-200m respectively, which can be determined with reference to the land area of the cattle farm and the shape of the plot.
