3 Principles of Soil Improvement

3 Principles of Soil Improvement
Crop can be high yield, 80% depends on the good or bad soil! At the same time good soil agricultural input cost is small, high efficiency! At present, the soil in most areas of China, due to the application of chemical fertilizers and pesticides for years, as well as unreasonable production methods, resulting in serious deterioration of the soil, slab, acidification phenomenon is very common! So the soil improvement is a top priority!

1. Improvement of Soil Physical Structure

(1) Soil Conditioner

One of the functions of soil conditioner is to stick the broken soil particles into small clusters, i.e. to restore the soil cluster structure. The specific application is relatively easy, before or after turning the ground, directly sprinkled on the ground, and then watered, the soil conditioner will become particularly sticky under the action of water, one by one small particles will form a soil colloid, this colloid will form the soil granular structure, to ensure that the soil breathable, fertilizer, root system is also easier to root down.

Secondly, there is an acidic soil conditioner on the market, ph pH 3.0-4.0, this product is suitable for improving alkaline soil, but also note that the dosage should not be too large!

(2) Straw + Organic Fertilizer

I found in the countryside, there are many farmers friends are still using unrotted manure as organic fertilizer. In fact, this practice is extremely wrong! Many people may say, how do you need to deal with manure, sun-dried on the line, the old ancestors used for hundreds of years, which is so troublesome.

But the fact is, nowadays, when manure is applied, it needs to be treated. Because decades ago, manure treatment are very simple, when raising chickens and pigs, no one will add a lot of antibiotics and additives containing heavy metals in the feed, a small number of free-range livestock and poultry produce a small amount of manure has long been reused to fertilize the fields.

2, Improvement of Soil Chemical Properties

First, reduce the amount of chemical fertilizer, focusing on improving the utilization rate of chemical fertilizer

Soil chemical properties and fertilizer utilization rate are closely related. At present, the utilization rate of compound fertilizer in many fields is extremely low, serious fields using compound fertilizer alone, the utilization rate of even 15% can not be reached, that is to say, the application of 100 pounds of compound fertilizer to the ground, can be absorbed by the crop only about 15 pounds, the rest of the 85 pounds are wasted, this part of the wasted fertilizer but will aggravate soil salinization or acidification. It is recommended that the planting process, compound fertilizer and organic fertilizer as a base with the use of fertilizer can effectively improve the absorption rate.

For fields that use chemical fertilizers all year round, there is no shortage of fertilizers in the soil, only more nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Now the key to the problem is: how to activate the residual nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the soil, or the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fixed by the soil, little by little, so that the crop can absorb and use it, instead of saying that too much chasing of chemical fertilizers.

3, The Improvement of Soil Biological Traits
To improve the biological properties of the soil, we must start from the root, the best way is to treat bacteria with bacteria. To improve crop yield, you need to add biological bacteria (biological fertilizer) to the soil. Beneficial microorganisms in microbial fertilizers can produce sugars that combine with plant mucilage, mineral colloids and organic colloids to improve soil agglomerate structure, enhance the physical properties of soil and reduce the loss of soil particles, and under certain conditions, can also participate in humus formation. Therefore, the application of microbial fertilizers can improve the physical properties of the soil and contribute to the improvement of soil fertility.

Microbial fertilizers provide microorganisms beneficial to crop growth, and through their decomposition and transformation, there are many kinds of nutrients in the soil before they can be absorbed and used by crops. Land with low content of beneficial microorganisms will not be well absorbed and utilized by crops for essential nutrients. The targeted use of microbial fertilizers, just like we need "old noodles" for buns and "old brine" for kimchi, can significantly improve soil fertility, increase the supply of plant nutrients, promote plant growth, and also provide long-term restoration and It can also protect the ground strength and give the soil "strength".
