Fruit trees are perennial crops with high
fertilizer requirements for higher yields; therefore, soil fertilization is an important technical measure to improve soil nutrient supply in orchards and obtain excellent and high-yielding fruit; however, there are currently problems such as insufficient organic fertilizer inputs and excessive nitrogen fertilizer application in fruit tree production, resulting in the decline of inter-root soil quality and aggravation of diseases in fruit trees, which restrict the further improvement of fruit quality.
Summarizing the research results of other scholars, the effect of bio-organic fertilizer on fruit quality, yield, tree growth and development and soil physical and chemical properties was analyzed to explore the effect of bio-organic fertilizer on fruit production, in order to effectively promote the application of bio-organic fertilizer in orchards and achieve excellent and sustainable production of fruit production.
First, the impact on fruit quality. The results of studies on several tree species such as apple, citrus, grape, pear, strawberry, plum and kiwi showed that bio-organic fertilizer significantly improved the fruit quality.
Intrinsic quality mainly improved the soluble solids and sugar content, sugar-acid ratio and aroma quality of the fruit.
In terms of external quality, the fruit coloring and hardness were improved, and the fruit shape was more uniform in size.
The results of the study on facility cultivated peaches showed that the application of
bio-organic fertilizer significantly improved the quality of peaches compared to the control application of chicken manure, with a 1.0% increase in soluble sugar content and a 3.5% decrease in titratable acid content.
The fruit brix of red globe grapes with bio-organic fertilizer application reached 14.39; significantly improved the aroma quality of Fuji apple fruit, with 13 more components of volatile substances and 5.7 percentage points more content.
The application of bio-organic fertilizer in the orchard significantly improved the soluble solids of fruit, from 14.1% to 15.6% for apples, from 10.6% to 12.2% for plums, from 10.1% to 11.3% for peaches and from 15.1% to 16.6% for grapes; the hardness of apples increased from 8.1 to 8.9 and from 9.1 to 11.1 for peaches; the sugar-acid ratio of apples increased from After spraying bio-organic fertilizer on peach trees, the soluble solids of fruits increased by 5.7-10.9%, and the flavor and quality of fruits improved.
Second, the effect on fruit yield. The research results on apple, citrus, peach, grape, plum and pear fruit trees showed that the application of bio-organic fertilizer effectively increased the fruit weight per fruit and significantly improved the yield per unit area, indicating that bio-organic fertilizer effectively ensured the continuous supply of nutrients and promoted the photosynthesis and carbohydrate synthesis of the plant. The application of bio-organic fertilizer on strawberry increased the yield per plant by 67.9 g. The application on "Red Globe" increased the weight and yield of grapes per cluster. The yield of apple, peach, grape and plum increased by 29.8%, 67.7%, 12.6% and 21.1% respectively after the application of bio-organic fertilizer in the orchard; meanwhile, the weight of single fruit increased significantly, 35.9% for apple and 28.4% for grape.
Third, the effect on tree growth and development. The test results show that bio-organic fertilizer can effectively promote the growth and development of fruit trees. The study showed that the application of bio-organic fertilizer on peach trees in the facility significantly increased the soil temperature, with an average increase of 2.2℃ in the 10 cm inter-root soil temperature; promoted the occurrence and growth of the root system in the soil surface layer, with the number of fine roots increasing 1.5 times compared with the control; significantly improved the fruit set rate of peaches in the facility, with an increase of 45.6% compared with the control; and advanced the maturity period, with an early maturity of 10-12 days compared with the control. After the application of bio-organic fertilizer on strawberry in the facility, the plant growth improved significantly, and all indexes were higher than the control; the root respiration intensity and root growth points increased by 2.5 times and 1.2 times, respectively; the total surface area of new roots and root crown ratio increased by 117.3% and 44.9%, respectively; the photosynthetic intensity of leaves increased by more than 70%.
Forth, effects on soil physical and chemical properties. The research results showed that after the application of bio-organic fertilizer, the soil capacity of orchards became smaller, the soil porosity increased, the number of soil microorganisms increased, the soil permeability was improved, the organic matter content was significantly increased, the soil nitrogen and phosphorus supply capacity was enhanced, the soil acidity and alkalinity were improved, and the release of nutrients in the soil was facilitated. The results of the study on potted grapes showed that after the application of bio-organic fertilizer, the number of beneficial bacteria such as radiobacteria and bacteria in the soil of potted grapes increased significantly, with the content of radiobacteria reaching 7.6×10 of 8 square.
Fifth, prospect of use.As a new type of fertilizer, bio-organic fertilizer has achieved better results in improving the utilization rate of chemical fertilizers, reducing the amount of chemical fertilizers used and reducing environmental pollution, etc. The development of bio-organic fertilizer has broad prospects. At present, the application of bio-organic fertilizer can not only promote the growth and development of fruit trees, but also improve the yield and quality of fruit, and more importantly, the beneficial bacteria provided by bio-organic fertilizer can effectively improve the inter-root soil environment of fruit trees, promote the absorption of various mineral elements by the root system, which plays a key role in the health and sustainable production of fruit trees, so the application of bio-organic fertilizer transformation prospects are also extremely broad and worth promoting.
