Principle analysis of rotor drum granulator

The principle of the rotor drum granulator is that the materials rely on the surface tension, an appropriate amount of liquid phase, the extrusion force generated by the rolling between the materials, and the small particles as the core in the correct movement direction of the materials in the rotor drum granulator.

During operation, after the powdery raw material is added into the drum with a certain inclination and slow rotation from the feed inlet, the material has rotated upward driven by the internal plate. When it reaches a certain height, the material falls along the arc track under the action of gravity and inertial force, so that the material can complete the rolling movement required for granulation.

The inside of the rotor drum granulator is sprayed on the rolling material layer through steam or water to make the fine particle surface adhere and agglomerate with other fine powders into particles. The material is granulated in the granulation area, and then passes through the annular retaining ring into the polishing area. In the polishing area, the particles are aged and polished. After the fine particles grow up, they are discharged from the drum outlet.
