1. Optimal speed. The optimal rotation speed of rotor drum granulator is 35%-50% of the critical rotation speed. The small drum granulator takes a large value, and the large one takes a small value.

2. The cylinder is inclined 1°~2.5° to the discharge end. The ratio of length to diameter, namely L/D=2.0~7.0, usually takes a value greater than 3.0.

3. Filling factor. Both the feeding end and the discharging end of rotor drum granulator are equipped with retaining rings to prevent the material from overflowing, so as to ensure the filling factor of the material in the rotor drum granulator.

4. The production capacity of rotor drum granulator is calculated as follows: the inner wall area of the rotor drum granulator required to produce 1t granular compound fertilizer per hour is 3 to 4 square meters.

5. Steaming increases the temperature of the granulated material, so that the granulation process can be carried out with a lower moisture content, thereby reducing the drying load, and the dried granular fertilizer is denser and has a higher strength. Generally, the temperature of the material at the discharge port of the rotor drum granulator is controlled to be 70-95 ℃, and the moisture content is 3% to 7% (according to the compound fertilizer formula).
