Can chicken manure be used as organic fertilizer without decomposition?

A: No

One: Not only chicken manure, but also all kinds of livestock and poultry, including human manure, contain a large number of germs, eggs and parasites, so unrotted manure cannot be applied directly to crops!

Second: the process of decomposing chicken manure will dissipate most of the heat, and if the manure is not decomposed directly, it will cause plants to burn their roots and seedlings.

Third: the nitrogen fertilizer in chicken manure starts in the form of protein, plants cannot use the protein directly, only after fermentation the protein decomposes into ammonia, which can be used by plants.

Chicken manure is rich in organic matter and contains high N, P, K and trace elements, which is a very good raw material for organic fertilizer.

How to fully decompose chicken manure?

I. Natural Pile Fermentation (Preferably Adding Straw)

We can mix chicken manure and straw (wheat bran is also OK) with wet, humidity control at 60-70% role, and then cover the chicken manure with plastic film (plastic film can prevent the rain from washing away, which can prevent nutrient loss; plastic film can increase the temperature of manure in winter, which can speed up the fermentation), and generally 3 months can be fully rotted. During the fermentation period, we can turn 1 to 2 times, turning can not only prevent overheating and burning the pile (hair over strength), but also help chicken manure to ferment evenly.

Method of judging the moisture of chicken manure: chicken manure can be formed into a ball by hand, and can be dispersed when it falls to the ground, which means that the moisture is about 65% at this time

II. The Use of "Bacterium" to Accelerate the Fermentation (The Main Method)

Agricultural fertilizer mainly by having microorganisms to ripen, so we add beneficial microorganisms in chicken manure, it can greatly improve the fermentation speed of chicken manure.

Beneficial microorganisms we can choose "EM bacteria" or "yeast powder", it is recommended to use EM bacteria. "EM bacteria" is a mixture of bacteria, including photosynthetic nematodes, actinomycetes, yeast, lactic acid bacteria, nitrogen fixing bacteria, etc. It has the role of deodorization, sterilization, egg killing, accelerating the decomposition of organic matter, chicken manure fermentation can be completed in 15 days. The chicken manure fermented with "EM bacteria" can be used to replace the "microbial organic fertilizer" in the market because it contains a large number of beneficial microorganisms.
