Organic matter content is an important indicator of soil fertility. Soil organic matter and total nitrogen are positively correlated with fruit sugar content, while total phosphorus and potassium are positively correlated with sugar to acid ratio. And the application of organic fertilizer in orchards can improve the soil organic matter content. Therefore, choosing the suitable organic fertilizer is an important condition to ensure good growth of fruit trees and improve fruit quality.
1, The Application of Traditional Organic FertilizerApplication of traditional organic fertilizer has a long history, so far is still the main practice of most orchards in the fall and winter fertilizer, production is commonly used compost, chicken manure, cow manure, pig manure, sheep manure and other livestock manure and human waste and urine. Among them, sheep manure is a natural green fertilizer, containing 4% to 27% organic matter, more than other livestock manure, rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium nutrients, fine manure, thick fertilizer, a hot fertilizer. Chicken manure is rich in nutrients, especially the crude protein in chicken manure is more, organic matter content reaches 25.5%, through appropriate processing and utilization can become a better green organic fertilizer. Pig manure contains 15% organic matter, the total nutrient content is not high, the carbon to nitrogen ratio is small (14:1), and it is easier to be decomposed by microorganisms, releasing nutrients that can be absorbed and used by crops. The organic matter content of cow manure is 14.5%, and the air-dried sample contains 43.6% crude fiber and close to 1% nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
Due to the large amount of traditional organic fertilizer per mu, the application requires deep digging and deep burial, labor intensity, which seriously affects the enthusiasm of fruit farmers to apply base fertilizer in autumn and supplement soil organic matter. Together with the current orchard production staff is getting older, the application of traditional organic fertilizer has been a great challenge, affecting the sustainable production of orchards.
2, The Application of Commercial Organic FertilizerThe use of livestock and poultry manure, animal and plant residues and other by-product resources rich in organic matter as the main raw material, the fertilizer made by decomposition and fermentation is called commercial organic fertilizer, which does not include green manure, farmyard manure and farmers own accumulation of organic manure.
In today's big development of farming, for the sake of environmental health, farms usually add more lime, clay and other materials when dealing with livestock and poultry manure, which in disguise reduces the nutrient content of livestock and poultry manure as raw materials for commercial organic fertilizer. Therefore, in order to meet the Ministry of Agriculture standards, the production process of commercial organic fertilizer either add crop straw co-fermentation, or directly add a certain percentage of humic acid raw materials, which will correspondingly increase the cost of production.
Organic inorganic compound fertilizer, although easy to produce, but because of its relatively low organic content, if applied as a base fertilizer for fruit trees, in actual production must increase the dosage, there is a greater waste, and may even cause negative effects such as burning seedlings, the application cost is also greatly increased.
